About Alaune237
Alaune237 is an editorial publication covering business, technology, and trade from a Francophone Central African perspective. The name joins à la une — the French newsroom term for "front page" — with the Cameroonian country code. The editorial lens is deliberate: we write about the stories, numbers, and arguments that the Francophone Central African business conversation actually turns on.
What we cover
Commodity trade and logistics between Africa and Europe. Technology and AI and their uneven arrival in emerging markets. The mechanics of building small multi-country ventures. Strategic decisions that readers outside the region rarely see discussed with any candour. Contributors include operators, researchers, and practitioners — people with skin in the game.
Editorial approach
We try to name things. When we make a specific claim, we cite where it came from. When we are making an argument rather than reporting a fact, the piece says so. We prefer specificity — a port, a commodity, a margin, a year — to the generalisations that usually characterise "Africa coverage." See our editorial standards for the fuller version.
Sponsor disclosure
Alaune237 is published by Digitaall Limited, a UK-registered consultancy with long-standing work across the region. Digitaall underwrites the publication but does not direct its editorial line. If something we write is wrong, correcting it matters more than protecting anyone's commercial interests — ours included. The sponsor's role is disclosed here and in the site footer; nowhere else in the publication.
Contributing
We welcome writing from operators and researchers working in or on the region. Pitches should be short and specific. Reach us at the contact address on the editorial standards page.
